NestliCare is free for daycares, preschools, and home childcare providers in every country. You can sign up from anywhere, bill families in your own currency, and use every feature at no cost. The one thing that depends on where you are is whether parents can pay you **online through NestliCare**.

## Signing up

You pick your country when you create your daycare. It sets the default billing currency, the tax and receipt behavior, and which local features appear. Every country is offered; if yours is missing from the list, email [support@nestlicare.com](mailto:support@nestlicare.com).

## Currencies

Invoices are issued in your organization's currency, and any ISO currency works: rupees, rand, pesos, dirhams, ringgit, and so on. Amounts are shown in that currency on invoices, statements, reports, and in the parent app. You can change the currency later under **Settings → Organization**.

## Online payments: where they are available

Online payments go through Stripe, and Stripe can only pay out to daycares in these countries:

| Region | Countries | Payment currency |
|---|---|---|
| North America | United States, Canada | USD, CAD |
| United Kingdom | United Kingdom | GBP |
| Oceania | Australia | AUD |
| Eurozone | Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain | EUR |

In these countries parents pay from the app with the local bank rail (ACH in the US, Bacs in the UK, BECS in Australia, SEPA Direct Debit in the eurozone) alongside cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, and the money is paid out to your bank. The convenience fee is quoted in your currency at checkout. In the EU, the UK, and Australia, surcharge rules mean the daycare absorbs the fee rather than adding it at checkout; in the US and Canada the daycare chooses who pays it. See [Pricing](/getting-started/pricing) and [Who pays the online payment fee?](/owners/faq/who-pays-the-processing-fee).

## Everywhere else: collect the payment yourself, record it in NestliCare

If your country is not in the table (India, South Africa, Malaysia, the UAE, and most of the world), NestliCare still does all the billing work; it just cannot move the money. The flow is:

1. Set up billing plans and let NestliCare issue the invoices as usual. Parents see the invoice and the amount due in the app and by email.
2. Collect the payment the way you already do: Google Pay or another UPI app, a bank transfer, cash, a check, or any local method.
3. Open the invoice and choose **Mark as Paid**. Pick the method (cash, check, bank transfer, or other), add a note such as the UPI transaction ID, and the invoice is settled. The family's balance updates and the parent sees the receipt in the app.

This costs nothing: the convenience fee applies only to payments processed through NestliCare. Reports, statements, and past-due reminders all work the same whether the money came through NestliCare or outside it.

## Country-specific features

**United States**
- CACFP meal counts, menus, and the monthly claim report. See [Set up CACFP](/owners/education/set-up-cacfp).
- My Food Program integration for sponsors and centers that claim through it. See [My Food Program integration](/owners/education/my-food-program-integration).

**Canada**
- Interac e-Transfer as a recordable payment method, since that is how most Canadian home daycares are paid.
- Childcare receipts for families' tax filing.
- Subsidy export for provincial programs such as CWELCC.

**United Kingdom, Ireland, and the European Union**
- The Data Processing Agreement is accepted once at signup, and Standard Contractual Clauses cover the transfer of data to NestliCare's US servers.
- Staff photo features stay off until per-child parental consent is in place. Ireland already runs in consent mode; the rest of the EU, the UK, and Switzerland follow as the consent flow reaches them.
- Fees on online payments are absorbed by the daycare, never added at checkout.

**Australia**
- AUD billing with BECS bank debit and cards. The convenience fee is absorbed by the daycare, never added at checkout.

## Time zones and dates

Each center has its own time zone. Check-in times, schedules, and reports show in the center's local time, even when an owner looks at them from another country. Dates follow your language's format.

## Languages

The dashboard, emails, and much of the app are available in English, Spanish, French, and German. See [What languages does NestliCare support?](/owners/faq/what-languages-does-nestlicare-support).

## Where your data lives

All data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States regardless of your country. See [Security and privacy](/getting-started/security-and-privacy) for the safeguards that cover international transfers.
