Archiving a family, in one confirmation, does five things:

1. Archives the parents and children (parents can no longer log in).
2. Withdraws all active room enrollments, with today as the end date.
3. Withdraws active add-on program enrollments.
4. Cancels pending invitations.
5. Cancels active auto-pay authorizations.

It warns you first, without blocking, if the family has unpaid invoices or a child is checked in right now.

What it does **not** do: delete anything. Invoices, payment records, attendance, and history are all kept, which is what you want for billing and licensing.

It is reversible: switch the Families page from **Active** to **Archived** and restore the family from there if they come back. The parents and children archived with the family come back with it. After restoring, re-enroll the children in their room and any add-on programs, since archiving withdrew them.

Reach for a permanent delete only for a family created by mistake that never had real activity. For everyone who actually attended, archive.
