Daily pickup authorizations are retired. You no longer send a request, and the daycare no longer approves one.

The new model is simpler: **add the person as a family member once, and their own pickup code works at the kiosk right away** — every day, for drop-off and pickup, with or without the app.

Everything you need is in [Add a pickup contact](/parents/account/add-a-pickup-contact):

- how to add a grandparent, babysitter, or other helper,
- how to share their code if they don't have the app,
- how to reset a code that got into the wrong hands.

<Callout kind="info" title="Still see an 'Authorize a Pickup' button?">
You're on an older version of the app. There is nothing to authorize anymore — the button is harmless, and updating the app removes it. The person you added can pick up either way.
