Every diaper change should land in the daily feed. It's how parents know their child is OK, how admins spot patterns (a run of BMs might be illness), and how licensing audits confirm hygiene schedules.

## Log one

1. Open the NestliCare app on your staff account.
2. Tap the **Dashboard** tab (bottom nav).
3. In the **Quick Actions** grid, tap **Log Activity**.
4. The **Log Activity** sheet opens. Tap the **Diaper** tile in the activity-type grid.
5. Pick the room pill, then tap the child's avatar (or multiple avatars for a bulk log).

6. Scroll down and pick the **Type** — Wet / Dry / Both. ("Both" means wet + BM — the most common full change.)

Tap **Save Activity** (or **Log for N Children** for multi-child logs). The entry appears in the room feed and the parents' Home feed within a few seconds.

## Add a photo (when it matters)

If there's a diaper rash or a skin issue you want parents aware of, attach a photo:

1. In the Log Activity screen, scroll to the **Photos** section.
2. Tap **Tap to add photos** (or **Add** for more).
3. Pick from library or take with the camera. Up to 5 photos per log.

Photos upload with an inline spinner. Red exclamation = upload failed; tap to retry.

Photos are stored encrypted and visible only to the child's approved parents + your center's staff.

<Callout kind="warning" title="Don't share photos casually">
Save photos for things parents need to see. Nobody wants their child's daily feed to be 30 diaper shots. A photo is a signal — use it when there's something to signal.

## What parents see

Parents get a push notification (if they've enabled them) and a new entry in the day's feed:

> **12:34 PM** · Diaper change: wet + BM

…with your name attached as the teacher who logged it.

## Fix a mistake

Tapped the wrong child? Logged "Wet" when it was "Both"?

1. Open today's feed for that room.
2. Find the entry, tap ⋯ → **Edit** or **Delete**.
3. Edits are audited — admins can see the change log.

Delete is only allowed within a few minutes of posting. After that, edit the entry instead (add a correction note) rather than deleting — it keeps the audit trail clean.

## Troubleshooting

**Child isn't in the picker.** You're not assigned to their room. Ask your admin to add you to that room on your staff record.

**App says "pending approval."** Your org has diaper logs set to require admin approval before parents see them. The entry is saved but won't show in the parent feed until an admin approves — common in licensing-strict states.

**Photo upload fails.** Check your internet. The app stores the entry locally and will retry the photo upload for up to 24 hours. After that, it drops the image (the text log stays).

**Parent says they didn't see it.** Confirm "Share with parents" was on when you saved. If it was off, edit the entry to flip it on and it will appear in their feed retroactively.
