--- title: "Check occupancy with Room Insights" description: "See live occupancy, staffing, ratios, and open spots across all your rooms at a glance." type: guide updated: 2026-07-03 canonical_url: https://help.nestlicare.com/owners/centers/room-insights roles: ["super_admin", "center_admin"] platforms: [web] --- **Room Insights** (under **Organization → Room Insights**) is a live view of how full your rooms are right now: who's present, who's staffing them, whether you're in ratio, and how many spots are open. ## What it shows At the top, four numbers summarize your whole organization: **Children Present**, **Staff On-Site**, **Capacity** (as a percentage), and **Openings**. Below, rooms are grouped by center. Each room card shows: - Its age group and current occupancy (like `6/10`) - The staff scheduled and present - Children present versus absent - Whether the room is in session - The ratio (like `1:3`) and how many spots are open Use the **Refresh** button to pull the latest, and the center picker to focus on one location. ## When to use it - **First thing in the morning** to see who's in and whether every room is covered. - **Before taking an inquiry** to see exactly how many openings you have and where. - **During the day** to catch a room that's drifting out of ratio. Room Insights is the live, right-now picture. For a record over a date range (attendance history, ratio compliance for a licensing visit), use Reports instead.
