NestliCare Plus, reports and answers about your child's day

NestliCare Plus is an optional add-on from NestliCare. Each evening its bird, Nestli, writes a short report on your child's day from what the teachers share with you in the app. It only appears if your daycare has chosen to offer it.

You don't need NestliCare Plus to see what your daycare shares in the app. NestliCare Plus is sold and billed by NestliCare, not by your daycare.

What Nestli writes

• An evening report, usually about an hour after pickup: the day in a few short paragraphs, a few numbers (naps, meals, diapers or bottles), highlights, and something to ask your child tonight.
• A Sunday recap of the week.
• Trends: naps, meals, attendance, and hours in care this week compared with the last few.
• Answers when you ask: questions about your child's day, the daycare calendar, announcements, or your invoices and payments.

Nestli writes on days your child is at daycare and the teachers record something. On a day off, there is no report.

Where to find it

1. Open the NestliCare app.
2. Tap the Plus tab (the little blue bird) in the bottom bar.
3. Each child has their own notebook. Tap a notebook to read the latest report, earlier reports, Firsts, This month and trends.

You get a notification when a new report is ready. You can turn it off under Me → Notifications → NestliCare Plus reports.

At pickup, firsts and this month

• Today so far: open your child's notebook during the day for arrival, last nap, last meal, last diaper and today's teacher notes, handy on the way to pickup.
• Firsts: when a teacher records a first, you get a notification and it's saved on the Firsts page.
• This month: one page with days at daycare, firsts, highlights and the photos the daycare shared. Page back through earlier months.
• Remind me: when Nestli answers with an upcoming date (picture day, an invoice due date), tap Remind me the night before. The reminder stays on your phone.

Your own notes

Each notebook has a Your notes section. Type a note, or tap the microphone and say it: a first word, a bad night, anything you want to remember. Your notes are shared with your family, not your daycare, and Nestli doesn't read them. You can delete any note you wrote.

For tomorrow

When the daycare's calendar has something for the next day (pajama day, picture day, a closure), the evening report ends with a For tomorrow list, so you can plan ahead.

Ask Nestli

1. In the Plus tab, tap the bird or Ask Nestli anything.
2. Type your question, or tap the microphone and say it. Dictation uses your phone's own speech recognition, and NestliCare receives only the text.
3. Nestli answers from what the daycare already shares with you in the app, and shows where the answer came from (the teachers' notes, the calendar, or your invoices).

You can also ask about one report: open it and use Ask about this report underneath.

You can also tell Nestli something for the teacher, like "Noah was up all night coughing" or "Grandma is picking up today", and it writes the note for you to send.

Nestli is set up not to answer questions about feelings, behavior, friendships, development, or health, and to answer only from what's in the app. When it can't answer, it drafts a short message for you to send to your child's teacher, or whoever handles billing. Tap Review and send, change anything you like, then send it yourself. Nestli never sends messages for you.

Ask Nestli comes with a monthly allowance shared by your family. Below the question box, the app shows how much of this month's allowance is used, and gives you a heads-up when most of it is gone. If it runs out, Ask Nestli rests until your plan renews each month. Evening reports and Sunday recaps don't use the allowance.

When two or more family members share the family account, one person can use up to 60% of the month, so one person can't use it all. Once your own share is the fuller of the two, the meter shows it instead ("Your share this month").

What it costs

NestliCare Plus is a monthly subscription, paid through the App Store or Google Play, and you can cancel anytime. The Plus tab shows the price where you live before you buy. There is no yearly plan and no free trial that turns into a charge. One subscription covers your whole family, including every child at the daycare. Ask Nestli has a monthly allowance shared by your family (see above).

How your child's information is used

Nestli uses AI (Claude, made by Anthropic) to write the reports. Before it writes anything, a parent with full access to your family account has to say yes.

• It works from what your daycare already shares with you in the app: activities, meals, naps, teacher notes, the calendar, announcements, and your invoices and payments.
• It is built to leave out photos, birthdays, incident reports, card and bank details, and health logs such as medication, temperature, health checks, therapy or behavior notes, and to call other children in teacher notes "a friend".
• What you type to Nestli is sent too, so it can answer you. Calendar events and announcements are read as your daycare wrote them.
• It is set up not to describe your child's mood, behavior, or development. It is AI and can make mistakes; the teachers' own notes in the app are the record.
• Reports and your questions are for your family. Your daycare does not see them.
• Under Anthropic's terms for business customers, Anthropic does not use this information to train its models.

Anyone with full access to your family account can turn this off in the Plus tab (AI reports). Nestli stops writing new reports.

Cancel

If your daycare stops offering NestliCare Plus, or your family no longer has a child there, Nestli stops writing, but the subscription keeps renewing until you cancel. We email the person who subscribed when that happens, with how to cancel.

Cancel from the phone where you subscribed:

• iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → NestliCare Plus.
• Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NestliCare Plus.

After you cancel, your notebooks (past reports and your own notes) stay readable in the Plus tab for 12 months. After that they are deleted. The same happens 12 months after your child leaves the daycare. Asking Nestli, new reports and new notes need NestliCare Plus again; you can resubscribe from the Plus tab.

One subscription covers your whole family: every child at the daycare, and every family member on your NestliCare family account, even those with limited access. Only a parent with full access can subscribe or turn AI reports on and off.
