Review and sign an incident report
When your daycare files an incident report about your child, read it in the app, acknowledge or sign it, and download a copy for your records.
If your child gets hurt or has an incident at daycare, staff write it up and send it to you in the NestliCare app. You'll get a notification, and the report shows up on your Home feed.
Open the report
- Tap the notification, or tap the Incident Report card on your Home feed.
- Read what happened, what staff did about it, and any photos or medical care they recorded.
If something doesn't look right, message your child's teacher or the office from the Messages tab.
Acknowledge or sign it
What you tap at the bottom depends on your daycare:
- Acknowledge. Tap I've Reviewed This Report (iPhone) or Acknowledge Report (Android). This lets your daycare know you've seen it.
- Sign. Some daycares need your signature. Texas requires it within 48 hours. The card says Signature needed, and the report shows the time to sign by.
- Tap Review and sign.
- Draw your signature with your finger.
- Check your full name (on Android, type it) and agree to sign electronically.
- Tap Sign report. The report now says Signed by your name, with the time.
Your electronic signature takes the place of signing a paper copy. You don't need to go to the daycare to sign in person.
If you haven't signed yet, NestliCare sends you a reminder a day later and again shortly before the deadline. Staff can also send you a reminder.
Download a copy
To keep a copy, open the report and tap the share button at the top (iPhone) or Download report (Android). You'll get a PDF you can save to Files, print, or email, for example to your child's doctor.
Can't find a report?
- Scroll your Home feed; incident reports stay there.
- Check that notifications are on for NestliCare, and that Incidents is turned on in your notification settings in the app.
- Still missing? Ask your daycare. They can see every report they've filed and resend it.
