Can I add attendance for a past day?
Yes. Add missed day on the child's profile covers one child, and Backfill on the Attendance page covers whole days or months, without overwriting anything.
Yes, two ways depending on how much is missing:
- One child, one day: open the child's profile, go to the Attendance tab, and click Add missed day. Pick the day, choose present or absent, and enter drop-off and pick-up times for a present day. Hourly billing counts it like any other day.
- Many children or many days (you moved to NestliCare mid-year, or a device was down): go to Families & Children → Attendance, set the date, and click Backfill. Set default times, mark each child Present, Absent, or Skip, and save; Save & next day marches through a gap without reopening the sheet.
Both are for owners and center admins, both are recorded in your audit trail, and neither ever overwrites: children who already have a record for a day are skipped, so you can safely run backfill over a half-filled day. Backfilled records carry a Backfilled pill so entered history stays distinguishable from a live tap.

Pick the day on the Attendance page and use Check Out on the child's row. Wrong absences and missed check-ins are fixed the same way.
