Do teachers need the web dashboard?
No. Everything a teacher does lives in the mobile app. Most centers tell teachers to just use the app and never open the dashboard.
No. Everything a teacher does day to day lives in the mobile app: checking children in and out, posting photos and activities to the feed, logging meals and naps, reporting incidents, messaging parents, clocking in, and seeing their schedule and hours. Most centers simply tell teachers to use the app.
Teachers can sign in to the web dashboard with the same account. There they see every child and room at their own center, attendance, the feed, incidents, messages, the calendar, and their own schedule and timesheets. None of the admin pages (staff, families administration, billing, reports, settings) are visible to them.
The practical setup for a new teacher:
- Add them under Staff & Time → Staff. Adding them sends nothing yet.
- Click Send invite on their card.
- They open the email, set a password, and install the app.
