What happens when I archive a family?
Parents and children are archived, room and program enrollments withdrawn, invites and auto-pay cancelled, records kept. Reversible from the Archived view.
Archiving a family, in one confirmation, does five things:
- Archives the parents and children (parents can no longer log in).
- Withdraws all active room enrollments, with today as the end date.
- Withdraws active add-on program enrollments.
- Cancels pending invitations.
- Cancels active auto-pay authorizations.
It warns you first, without blocking, if the family has unpaid invoices or a child is checked in right now.
What it does not do: delete anything. Invoices, payment records, attendance, and history are all kept, which is what you want for billing and licensing.
It is reversible: switch the Families page from Active to Archived and restore the family from there if they come back. The parents and children archived with the family come back with it. After restoring, re-enroll the children in their room and any add-on programs, since archiving withdrew them.
Reach for a permanent delete only for a family created by mistake that never had real activity. For everyone who actually attended, archive.
