Do parents pay anything to use the app?

The app is free for parents. The only cost anywhere is a small convenience fee when a parent chooses to pay tuition online.

The app itself costs parents nothing: the feed, messages, documents, pickup codes, and everything else are free, just as NestliCare is free for your daycare.

The one place money appears is online tuition payment. When a parent pays an invoice online, a convenience fee is shown on its own line at checkout: 2.9% + $0.50 for cards, or 1% capped at $6 for bank transfers. By default the parent covers it, the same way service fees work on most online checkouts, and your payout equals the invoice amount. You can choose to absorb the fee instead in your finance settings.

Families who pay by cash or check pay no fee at all; you record those payments manually and nothing flows through online processing.

Who pays the online payment fee?

Can a staff member also be a parent here?

Yes, with one email and one login. Add both profiles and they switch between the staff view and the parent view inside the app.

Can parents see other families' information?

No. A parent only ever sees their own family, their own child's feed and invoices, and nothing about your operations or other children.

Can parents sign up for their own account?

No. You add each parent to their family and send them an invitation. That is why "tell them to sign up" never works.
