What can each staff role do?
Teacher, Center Admin, Super Admin, and what each one sees, plus the handful of things only the organization owner can touch.
Three roles, in increasing power:
Teacher
Works the classroom, mostly from the mobile app: check children in and out, post feed activities and photos, log meals and naps, report incidents, message parents, see their own schedule, hours, and pay stubs. On the web they get the same classroom surfaces (children, attendance, activities, messages, calendar, their own timesheets) and none of the admin ones: no staff management, no families administration, no billing, no reports, no settings. Teachers only see children in rooms they are assigned to.
Center Admin
Runs one center: staff, rooms, families, enrollment, documents, day-to-day billing (plans, invoices, discounts, late fees), reports, and communication. What stays above them: auto-invoice settings, refunds, the Finances page (unless granted finance access, and then scoped to their center), payroll, and org settings beyond timesheet policy. A center admin also cannot create or promote anyone to super admin.
Super Admin
Everything, across every center. Most single-site daycares need exactly one (you). The only things a super admin who is not the organization owner cannot touch are the org's currency, tax, and legal details, which stay with the owner.
Roles can be changed any time from the staff profile. NestliCare refuses to demote the last super admin, so you cannot lock yourself out.
