Is data migration really free?

Yes, for every daycare, any size. Settings → Data Migration reads your exports and previews the import, or our team does it for you.

Yes. Data migration is free for every daycare, whether you have 5 children or 500, and you don't need clean spreadsheets. Only the owner can use it.

How it works for most daycares in the US and Canada:

  1. Go to Settings → Data Migration.
  2. Upload what you can export from your current system: CSV, Excel, PDF, text files, or photos (JPG, PNG, WebP).
  3. NestliCare reads the files, asks you about anything unclear, and shows a preview. Nothing is imported until you click Yes, import everything.

Prefer not to do it yourself, or have Word documents or other files the wizard won't take? Click Have our team do it at any point, upload what you have, and our team sets up your families, children, staff, and rooms for you.

Where the self-serve reader isn't available (outside the US and Canada, and in Quebec), Settings → Data Migration goes straight to the team upload.

Enter the agency's weekly amount as a monthly award, then add a fixed family discount for the part of the gap you waive. The family's invoice comes out to their co-pay plus their share of the gap.
An employer is paying a family's tuition. How do I bill them?
Add the employer as an agency with automatic statements, then give the child a full-tuition award. The employer gets emailed invoices only, and nothing else about the child.
