A parent already has a NestliCare account
Add them anyway. If they're already at your daycare the family links to their login; if their account is at another daycare, send an invitation.
Add them anyway. One email address can hold several NestliCare profiles: a parent at your daycare, a parent at another daycare, a staff login. What happens depends on where their existing account lives.
- They're already at your daycare (a staff member, or a parent in another family here). Add Parent links the family to their existing login straight away. The confirmation says the family was added to their existing account. No invitation and no new password.
- Their account is at another daycare. The form offers Send an invitation instead. Take it.
What the parent experiences when they get that invitation:
- They open the invitation link from the email.
- The page recognizes the account and shows Sign in to accept. No password-creation form appears.
- They sign in with the password they already have, come back to the invitation, and click Accept as (their email). If they're signed in under a different email, the page asks them to sign out first.
- Done. Your daycare now appears in their app, and they move between profiles with the profile switcher on their profile screen.
What still genuinely blocks you
- They are already a member of that same family.
- They were removed or their family was archived: restore the existing record from the Archived tab or with Restore on the member, rather than adding them again.

Can one parent belong to two families here?
Not under one login. The app shows one family per daycare, so a parent who truly needs two families uses a second email for the second one.
Why hasn't a parent received their invite?
Spam folder first, then Resend. An amber pill means the link expired and needs Renew invite. The printout is the reliable fallback.
Can a staff member also be a parent here?
Yes, with one email and one login. Add both profiles and they switch between the staff view and the parent view inside the app.
Can parents sign up for their own account?
No. You add each parent to their family, then send them an invitation by email or as a printout. That is why "tell them to sign up" never works.
